Fitted, Built-In & Walk-In Wardrobes in Dubai

Send your Dubai community or building, room photos, approximate width, depth and ceiling height, preferred door type and finish, storage needs, budget and timing. Mention old units to remove, mirrors, lighting and delivery restrictions. Drawings are helpful if available. The final quotation follows a site measure and agreed internal layout and fittings.

Only the items listed in your written quotation are included. Check the run height, board and finish, number of shelves and drawers, hanging rails, door hardware, mirrors, lighting, delivery and installation. Additional electrical work, removal and making good should be identified separately. Compare per-metre prices only at the same height and internal specification.

Yes. Share the plans, elevations, internal layout and material specification. Halo checks the room dimensions and coordinates production drawings for approval before manufacture in Al Quoz. The quotation should distinguish manufacture and fitting from any design development, removal, decoration or electrical work you also need.

Wardrobes here are priced per linear metre of run. As an indicative market range, a laminate wardrobe with hinged doors typically falls between AED 1,200 and AED 2,200 per linear metre, a lacquer or veneer finish between AED 2,200 and AED 3,800, and a sliding or glass door system between AED 2,800 and AED 4,500. A full walk-in dressing room with an island generally starts around AED 45,000. Those are planning figures rather than a quotation. When you compare two quotes, always check what height the rate assumes — a rate for a 2.4 m carcass is not comparable to one for a full ceiling height — and what is included inside, because drawers, lighting and mirrors are usually extra.

A freestanding wardrobe is furniture: it stands against the wall, wastes the space above and beside it, and leaves with you. A built-in or fitted wardrobe is made to measure for a specific wall and fixed in place, running to the ceiling and into the corners, so it recovers storage a freestanding unit cannot reach. "Fitted" and "built-in" describe the same thing in this market, and both are what we manufacture — the only real distinction is that a built-in run is sometimes recessed into an existing alcove rather than added to a flat wall.

Typically four to seven weeks. The site visit and design usually take one to two weeks, the final measure and production drawings a few days, manufacture in our Al Quoz factory two to four weeks, then delivery and installation a matter of days. The critical path is manufacture, and it lengthens with sprayed lacquer finishes, glass and any imported hardware. You receive a dated programme once the design is signed off rather than a generic duration.

Yes, and it is a different exercise from a wardrobe run against a wall. A walk-in closet is planned first as a room: the circulation width you need to open a drawer while somebody else passes, whether the layout is single-sided, galley or U-shaped, and where the mirror, the seat and any island go. From there we build the open and glazed hanging bays, drawer banks, shoe and accessory storage, island units with stone tops and glass-topped drawers, and the lighting that makes colours readable early in the morning.

It usually comes down to the clearance in front of the run. Sliding doors need no swing space, which is what makes them work in compact Dubai apartment bedrooms, and they carry mirrors well; the trade-off is that one leaf always overlaps another, so you can never see the whole wardrobe open at once, and the track takes some internal depth. Hinged doors give full access to the entire run and a finer shadow gap, but need clearance to open. We check the room at the site visit and tell you which the space actually supports before you choose on looks.

Fronts can be spray lacquer, natural or reconstituted veneer, high-gloss or matt laminate, fluted timber, fabric-wrapped panels, or back-painted glass and mirror. The part that matters more is the carcass: we specify moisture-rated board where the run needs it, seal every cut edge, and add ventilation detailing where a wardrobe backs onto a bathroom or an external wall. A bedroom that runs the AC hard all summer and then sits closed up during a family trip is a genuinely humid environment, and standard board on a wet-adjacent wall is the most common reason wardrobes fail in the UAE.

Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we do. Developer wardrobes are usually the most obvious cost saving in a new Dubai apartment — thin carcasses, one rail and one shelf, stopping well short of the ceiling. The scope covers dismantling and removing the old units, disposal, making good the wall, floor and skirting behind them, and installing the new run. What condition the wall is in behind the old units is genuinely unknown until they come out, so that is flagged as a variable rather than priced blind.

Yes. Halo owns and runs its joinery factory in Al Quoz, where the carcasses, doors, drawer boxes and internals are cut, edged, sprayed or veneered and dry-assembled before they leave. Design, manufacture, installation and any remake are coordinated by the same company against the agreed drawings and specification.

LED profiles integrated into shelves and hanging rails, sensor-switched interior lighting that comes on as the door opens, plinth and cove lighting under a run, backlit glazed display bays and lit island drawers. All of it has to be planned before the carcass is built, because the wiring runs inside it and the drivers need an access panel rather than being sealed behind a fixed panel. Where there is no power nearby, the new circuit is quoted as electrical works alongside the joinery.

Usually yes. We take samples or photographs of the existing units at the site visit and match the finish, the handle and the door profile as closely as the material allows. An exact match on a sprayed lacquer is realistic; an exact match on a natural veneer that has aged in sunlight for several years is not, because the existing timber has changed colour. Where a perfect match is not achievable we say so up front and propose a deliberate contrast rather than a near-miss.

Yes. A single bedroom run is regular work and the same sequence applies at a smaller scale: site visit, storage inventory, itemised quotation, final measure and production drawings, then manufacture and installation. On compact rooms the return usually comes from height and internal planning rather than finish — taking the run to the ceiling, choosing sliding doors where swing space is tight, and putting real drawer depth where it is used.

While the factory is already making your bedroom run, adding the rest of the home costs considerably less than ordering it separately later: entrance and shoe cabinets, linen and utility cupboards, laundry-room cabinetry, under-stair storage, maid’s and guest-room units, home-office storage walls and built-in bedside units — all in the same finish, on the same delivery and under one quotation.

Halo delivers and installs wardrobes across Dubai, including Emirates Hills, Palm Jumeirah, Arabian Ranches, Dubai Hills Estate, The Meadows and Springs, DAMAC Hills, Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, Dubai Marina and JBR, JLT, Dubai Creek Harbour, JVC, Jumeirah and Umm Suqeim, Al Barsha, Mirdif and Al Khawaneej. Wardrobe panels are large, so service-lift dimensions, permitted working hours and delivery windows are confirmed for your building before the delivery date is fixed.

Confirm whether the company manufactures or resells, what board the carcass is and whether it is moisture rated, whether the rate is per linear metre and at what height, exactly what internals are included, whether they re-measure before cutting, and who installs it and handles adjustments afterwards. The checklist on this page sets out why each question matters and how Halo answers it.
