Sculptural Master Bedroom with Botanical Feature Wall & Microcement Finishes

The centrepiece of the bedroom is the dramatic oversized curved feature wall behind the bed. Its softly rounded architectural frame creates an almost cocoon-like enclosure around the sleeping area, giving the room a distinctive sense of intimacy while introducing a strong sculptural element into the contemporary interior.

The outer wall and curved surround feature a seamless warm-toned microcement-style decorative finish, creating a soft, continuous surface without conventional joints or trims. The hand-finished appearance adds subtle tonal variation and texture, complementing the natural, earthy palette of the bedroom.

Inside the curved surround is a highly detailed three-dimensional botanical relief wall, featuring oversized tropical leaf forms sculpted across the headboard elevation. The raised foliage introduces depth and craftsmanship, transforming the wall into an integrated piece of architectural art rather than a conventional decorative backdrop.

A continuous band of concealed warm LED lighting follows the organic perimeter of the feature wall, washing light across the botanical relief and accentuating the depth of the leaf pattern. The indirect illumination creates a soft halo effect around the bed while providing atmospheric lighting without visible fittings.

The bed continues the tactile character of the room through a generously proportioned bouclé-style upholstered frame and headboard, with softly rounded edges and vertically channelled detailing around the base. Layered neutral bedding and textured cushions reinforce the warm monochromatic palette.

At the foot of the bed, a matching channelled upholstered bench provides a practical dressing and seating element while maintaining the same soft material language.

Curved bedside furniture and sculptural metallic accessories continue the rounded geometry throughout the bedroom. Textured side tables, decorative objects and warm bronze-toned accents introduce contrast without disturbing the calm neutral composition.

The flooring is finished in warm herringbone timber, introducing natural grain and geometric movement beneath the softer upholstered elements. A large textured rug further defines the sleeping area.

Full-height curtains soften the glazing and provide privacy and daylight control, while the ceiling integrates recessed downlights, black cylindrical spotlights and slim linear HVAC grilles for a clean architectural finish.
