Seamless Microcement Master Bathroom with Sculptural Freestanding Bath

The bathroom is designed around an intentionally restrained material palette, allowing texture, proportion and light to create the visual interest. The most distinctive treatment is the extensive warm beige microcement-style finish across the walls, creating a continuous mineral surface with subtle tonal movement and virtually no visual interruption from conventional tile joints.

The microcement treatment gives the bathroom a tactile, hand-finished character and establishes the calm, spa-inspired atmosphere of the entire space.

At the centre of the room is a large sculptural freestanding oval bathtub, positioned directly in front of the full-height privacy glazing. Its softly rounded form contrasts beautifully with the linear architecture surrounding it, while the window brings diffused natural daylight deep into the bathroom without compromising privacy.

The bathtub is paired with a slim floor-mounted brushed-metal bath filler and handheld shower, maintaining the minimalist aesthetic while introducing a warmer metallic accent.

Along the opposite wall, an exceptionally long floating double vanity creates a clean horizontal architectural line through the bathroom. The vanity and countertop are treated in a coordinating pale mineral finish, reinforcing the seamless aesthetic rather than introducing a contrasting cabinetry material.

Two contemporary rectangular vessel basins sit above the vanity and are paired with wall-mounted brushed-brass / champagne-toned mixers. Moving the mixers onto the wall keeps the countertop uncluttered and gives the vanity a refined architectural quality.

A substantial full-width illuminated mirror extends above the vanity. Concealed perimeter lighting creates a soft glow behind the mirror and provides even illumination across the grooming area while adding depth to the otherwise minimalist elevation.

One of the strongest details is the long recessed horizontal display niche integrated directly into the microcement wall beside the bathtub. Warm concealed LED lighting runs through the niche, transforming a practical storage element into an architectural feature for bath products and decorative accessories.

Rather than adding conventional shelves or cabinetry, the niche is built into the wall plane itself, preserving the bathroom’s monolithic appearance.

The pale large-format flooring continues the neutral palette and visually connects the vanity, bathtub and microcement walls. A flush floor drain is discreetly integrated into the floor, maintaining the clean wet-area detailing.

Soft accessories — including woven towel storage, natural textiles, orchids and understated decorative objects — introduce an organic residential layer without compromising the minimalist architecture.

The lighting strategy combines the backlit mirror, illuminated wall niche, discreet recessed downlights and natural daylight, allowing the bathroom to transition from a bright functional space during the day to a softer spa environment in the evening.
